Then, we’ll arrive by carriage to the famous Tavern on the Green Restaurant for a delicious dinner.
Day 3 we enjoy a tour of lower Manhattan with our local step-on. This will include a driving tour of Greenwich Village, So Ho, China Town, Little Italy, and Wall Street. We will also show you Washington Square, Saint Paul’s Chapel and Trinity Church. Visit the World Trade Center Visitors Center commemorating the events of September 11, 2001. Enjoy free time for lunch and then in the afternoon you can explore the city on your own. We gather this evening for dinner before taking in one of Broadway’s hit musicals! (At the time of this publication our show has not been confirmed – we should have that information confirmed in the spring.)
Day 4 we head to Battery Park to board a ferry for a ride to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Enjoy time exploring these two historic sites where early immigrants first landed. We take the ferry back to Battery Park and visit South Street Seaport for lunch on your own. The remainder of the day is free to explore at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a visit to Rockefeller Center’s “Top of the Rock” observation deck for spectacular views of the city.
The morning of Day 5 we will journey to the Hudson Valley for a guided tour of the United States Military Academy at West Point along with a visit to the Academy Museum. Then we’ll visit the world renowned Culinary Institute of America for a delicious 3 course luncheon prepared by the students. This afternoon, visit the Brotherhood Winery; America’s oldest winery, for a tour and tasting. Return to the city where the balance of the evening is yours to enjoy.
Day 6 we check out of the hotel and transfer back to the airport taking many fond memories of our vacation to the “Big Apple” home with us! Join us for this very special vacation.
